How Whop clipping payouts work

How does Whop clipping payout work?
On Whop’s Content Rewards, a clip earns only once a moderator approves it. Approval starts a 7-day period in which its views keep earning, followed by a 3-day hold, so money reaches your balance about 10 days after approval. Per-view campaigns carry a 10% creator fee, and views judged automated or fraudulent are excluded.
The payout timeline, step by step
- Post the clip on an account and platform the campaign allows.
- Submit the link to the campaign. Some clippers report a 30-minute window between claiming budget and submitting a post; users describe it, but the published terms do not state it, so check your campaign.
- Wait for review. Moderators approve or reject each submission, and reviews can take days. One clipper: “Mine vedio is under review from 3days, I don’t know when I will get my payout.”
- Approval reserves budget and starts the 7-day earning period.
- A 3-day hold follows the earning period.
- Earnings reach your balance, and you withdraw with the methods Whop offers in your account.
Fees
- 10% creator fee on per-view (CPM) payouts, since the Content Rewards update around 3 September 2026.
- No creator fee on per-post and retainer campaigns with a total budget of $5,000 or more.
- Withdrawal fees depend on the method and are set in Whop’s payout settings. Check them before you rely on one.
What gets excluded or clawed back
Whop’s Content Rewards terms exclude views “generated by, or suspected to be generated by any bots, script, macro or other automated means or system, any other means intended to impact the integrity of the view count, or obtained by any fraudulent or inappropriate means.” Breaking the terms “may result in immediate termination and withholding or clawback of Whop Credits and/or payments.”
The September 2026 update added a 0–100 bot or fraud score, with payouts held for review. It also says a rejection needs to be based on something stated in the campaign requirements or description.
Common payout problems
These are clippers’ reports, not audited figures, but they recur:
- Rejected after earning views for suspected botting, where the clipper says the engagement was organic (r/whop).
- “Budget exhausted” after approval. One clipper’s clip, approved with half the budget left, was later rejected with that note (r/whop).
- Slow reviews and applications, sometimes pending for two weeks (r/whop).
- Reserves and suspensions. Users report reserves extended from 30 to 90 days and accounts suspended with balances frozen (r/whop).
How to avoid losing money you earned
- Read the brief first: handles, on-screen text, length, platform and approved footage.
- Submit immediately. Unsubmitted views are unpaid views.
- Check the budget. Avoid campaigns that are 80% or more spent.
- Never buy views or use view bots. They are excluded under the terms and can cost you the whole balance.
- Keep evidence: the post URL, when you posted, and analytics screenshots including traffic sources and audience location.
- Track each submission: which account, which campaign, approval state and amount paid.
Frequently asked questions
- How long does Whop take to pay clippers?
- About 10 days after a clip is approved: a 7-day earning window, then a 3-day hold. Review before approval can add days, and withdrawal adds processing time.
- Why was my Whop clip rejected after it got views?
- Campaign owners can reject clips after views accumulate: for breaking the brief, suspected bot traffic, failing an audience rule, duplicating other clips, or because the budget ran out. Ask which stated campaign requirement it broke, since rejections are meant to rest on one.
- What is the Whop clipping fee?
- 10% of per-view (CPM) payouts on Content Rewards. Per-post and retainer campaigns with a total budget of at least $5,000 carry no creator fee. Withdrawal fees depend on the payout method.
- What payment methods does Whop use for clipping payouts?
- Whop sets the available withdrawal methods and their fees in its payout settings, and they can differ by country. Check the options in your own Whop account before you plan around one.
Where CLPX fits
CLPX sits before the payout. It produces the clips and posts them to your connected accounts after you approve. It does not submit links to Whop, see your Whop balance or handle any money.
What it adds on this side is a record of what went where: each clip, the account it was published to and when, plus the views and engagement each platform reports back. That is the evidence you want to hand if a submission is questioned. See what CLPX does.
