Why speed matters in paid clipping
When a creator posts a new episode, the first clips of it are the ones that find the audience. Clippers put it bluntly: aim to be one of the first to post. Someone who notices an upload by hand, downloads it and edits it is hours behind. A watcher that reads the feed every few minutes is minutes behind.
Campaigns reward the same thing. When a budget opens, the clips that are already made and still fresh are the ones submitted in time.
How watching a channel works
- Add a YouTube channel or a podcast RSS feed under Watched channels. Only add channels you have the rights to clip, such as a creator whose clipping programme you are in.
- Every 5 minutes CLPX reads the channel's public feed. Reading a feed costs nothing, so watching many channels is fine.
- A new upload is taken automatically: downloaded, transcribed, cut into clips, framed for 9:16 and captioned.
- You review the clips. Approve the ones you want and they post to your accounts, as a different version on each.
So one busy channel cannot spend your month, each watcher takes at most two new videos per check and four per day. What it takes counts against your plan's source hours: 20 a month on Operator, 50 on Scale and 100 on Team.
What it watches, and what it does not
Watching works with YouTube channels and podcast RSS feeds. For anything else, paste single links from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook, or upload a file. CLPX does not import from Vimeo, Twitch, Google Drive or Dropbox.
Automatic clipping never means posting without you. Every clip waits for your approval before it reaches any account.
